Why do some physical syndromes persist despite treatment? In Step 3, we uncover how chronic pain, fatigue, and emotional struggles are often linked to unreleased trauma and nervous system imbalances. Dynamic Somatic Touch offers a powerful way to support healing, using mindful self-contact and therapeutic touch to help unwind these patterns.

DST Foundations: Unwinding What Won’t Go Away — Resolving Syndromes
This advanced training builds on the foundations of Step 1 and Step 2, taking you deeper into the patterns that linger — the ones that don’t shift easily through mindset, movement, or talk alone.
Whether it shows up as chronic tension, relational stuckness, or a felt sense that something keeps looping, Step 3 helps you recognize and work with these complex patterns at their source — in the body.
You’ll gain tools to engage with what we call “syndromes” — embodied experiences that have taken hold over time. Through DST Somatics®, we don’t fight these patterns — we unwind them gently, using the intelligence of the tissue, the story the body is telling, and the healing that happens through contact.
Many physical syndromes — chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, and unexplained tension — are shaped by more than just bodily injury. They are expressions of unresolved overwhelm and dysregulation in the autonomic nervous system.
If Steps 1 and 2 opened the door to somatic presence and nervous system tracking, Step 3 shows you what’s possible when you stay with the deeper layers — and how to guide others through them with clarity, skill, and heart, while also learning to support and guide yourself through the same terrain.
DST Somatics, implementing Dynamic Somatic Touch (DST), is a new trauma resolution and life approach model developed to expedite the resolution of somatic overwhelm and unwind body-based dysfunctional patterns. It is a synthesis of Ortho-Bionomy®, Somatics, Osteopathy, Focusing, Psychophysiology, Biodynamics, and Depth Psychology — rooted in both Western and Eastern philosophies.
What Do We Mean by “Syndromes”?
In DST Somatics®, syndromes refer to recurring physical or emotional patterns that don’t resolve with effort, insight, or time alone. These might show up as chronic pain, postural tension, relational looping, autoimmune flares, or emotional states that seem to replay themselves no matter what you do.
Syndromes are not “just in your head” — they often reflect unresolved stress and survival responses held in the tissues and nervous system.
Rather than pathologizing them, DST invites you to meet these patterns with contact, pacing, and presence — unlocking the body’s own ability to unwind, reorganize, and move toward deeper regulation.
