Disclaimer and Scope of Practice
Dynamic Somatic Touch® (DST Somatics) is a body-based educational modality designed to support somatic awareness, emotional insight, and personal growth. Our trainings, classes, and materials are offered for educational and experiential purposes only and are not a substitute for psychotherapy, medical care, or psychological treatment.
1. Not Medical or Psychological Treatment
DST Somatics is not the practice of medicine, psychotherapy, psychology, or any other licensed healthcare profession. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any physical or mental health condition. Our instructors and practitioners do not provide medical or psychological services, and any physical or emotional responses that arise during participation are considered part of the body’s natural self-awareness process — not medical or psychological outcomes.
If you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health or medical condition, or if you require diagnosis or clinical support, we encourage you to seek the care of a licensed healthcare provider.
2. Scope of the Work
DST Somatics is a somatic education and nervous system-based modality focused on:
Supporting awareness of bodily and emotional patterns
Facilitating self-regulation and insight
Offering touch-based and movement-based practices to enhance personal and professional growth
Training practitioners in embodied presence, somatic dialogue, and nervous system tracking
Our work is intended to complement, not replace, licensed professional care. Participants are responsible for their own physical and emotional well-being and are encouraged to seek support when needed.
3. Educational Purpose Only
All DST programs — including trainings, workshops, webinars, and masterclasses — are for educational purposes only. They are intended to enhance professional skill sets and offer experiential learning for those in the fields of somatic work, embodiment, education, coaching, and personal development.
4. No Supervision or CEUs (unless otherwise stated)
Unless specifically indicated, participation in DST Somatics does not qualify as clinical supervision and is not eligible for continuing education units (CEUs) for mental health licensure. These trainings are not a substitute for clinical supervision required by licensing boards or regulatory bodies.
5. Self-Responsibility and Participation
By participating in DST Somatics offerings, you agree that:
You are participating voluntarily and at your own discretion.
You understand that the practices are not therapeutic or medical in nature.
You are responsible for your own physical, emotional, and psychological safety.
You will refer to a licensed professional if you require medical or psychological support.
We ask all participants to honor their own boundaries, practice self-care, and reach out for licensed help if anything arises that goes beyond the scope of this work.
